Permanent FIA World Rallycross Championship team ALL-INKL.COM Muennich Motorsport will have two drivers flying the flag for the German squad in the first event of the World RX Esports Invitational Series this weekend (May 31), on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina circuit.

Together with World RX regular, Germany’s Timo Scheider, the team’s Argentine WTCR star Esteban Guerrieri will race this weekend, his first experience of rallycross after visiting the rallycross side of the team at Loheac in France last year.

Speaking ahead of his debut in the World RX Esports Invitational series, run on DiRT 2.0 in partnership with Esports specialist Motorsport Games, and DiRT video game publisher Codemasters, Guerrieri said: “I’ve never tested one of the team’s rallycross Supercars but I went to visit the team at the event in France last year and it was really cool. Since then I always wanted to jump in one of them. I don’t have much experience on DiRT 2.0 so I will have to put some serious practice into it this week.”

The rallycross rookie says he is expecting team mate Scheider to return the favour of giving advice before entering the new environment. “We haven’t shared much experience about rallycross yet, but I am sure we will. Actually, he MUST help me now, to pay back for the feedback I gave him when he came into WTCR. Any kind of racing (real world or virtual) is demanding if you want to do well and I try to find a good compromise. Probably on average I drive in the sim for two or three hours a day.”

For his World RX Esports debut, Guerrieri’s focus is on learning and enjoyment. “My hopes are to discover a new challenge, which is already something that motivates me. It should be good fun!”
