In wet conditions for day two at the Euro RX of Germany, round four of the FIA European Rallycross Championship for Supercar and Super1600 at Estering, Hungary’s Tamas Karai and Russia’s Aydar Nuriev took the quickest times in Q3.

Karai took the hole shot in Q3 race three and pulled away from France’s Andrea Dubourg to set the quickest time in Euro RX Supercar. Overnight TQ (top qualifier) Robin Larsson made a slow start in Q3 race four, then had contact with France’s Jean-Baptiste Dubourg before turn one. He took an early joker to climb through the pack but it was Thomas Bryntesson who took the race win and second quickest time overall, three seconds slower than Karai.

Larsson was P3, Norway’s Sondre Evjen P4, A.Dubourg P5 and Germany’s Rene Muennich P6. In the Intermediate Classification Bryntesson moved up to P3 overall but Sweden’s Pontus Tidemand dropped to P10 after he made a slow start in Q3 race two.

Championship leader Aydar Nuriev was again quickest with Volland Racing’s Audi A1 in the Super1600 category, in a one, two, three for the team. Hungary’s Gergely Marton won Q3 race four and was second quickest, with Switzerland’s Yuri Belevskiy P3 after overtaking Holjes RX winner Marius Bermingrud on lap one of race five. Great Britain’s Jack Thorne took the first win of the day in race one and held the fastest time until near the end of the session and ended up P4. Russia’s Timur Shigabutdinov was P5 and Norway’s Ole-Henry Steinsholt was P6.
